Plugged into a 5K display it never ran without the fans on, and when I really needed power, it would start to throttle right down to 0.8GHz as the whole package was getting so hot. I say this as someone who had to use a 15" MacBook Pro all last year for video editing and motion graphics design. Mobile devices have less capacity for heat, so will start by ramping up the fans, then if the processors are still being hit hard, will start to throttle them back in performance to keep the machine from overheating. When you're rendering, you're using the CPU and/or GPU for a very long time. Figuring this out is not intuitive at all unfortunately. This time Redshift is available in the toolbar, but it says no compatible GPUs detected.Īm I able to get redshift to work on either of these machines? The Nvidia compatibility page with all the versions and tables is like a totally different language to me. I downloaded C4D Trial S24 and Redshift trial. My second computer is a Mac Pro running macOS (late 2013) Big Sur / Graphics: AMD FirePro D500 3B/ 3.5GHz 6-core Intel Xeon E5. The 'get redshift' option is also greyed out. Also has GeForce Game Ready Driver Nvidia Version 471.11 I have gone to my cinema4d preferences and added Redshift as a plug in to no avail. I keep trying to install redshift demo and it is not working. This computer has a perpetual license of C4D R21 on it. The first is a Surface Studio Pro / Windows 10 Pro (Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6820HQ CPU 2.70GHz 2.71 GHz).
